You have real income and real equity — yet every financing conversation turns into a request for two years of tax returns. Our digital HELOC was designed around a different approach.
Checking your rate does not affect your credit score.

Why traditional lending is harder when you work for yourself
Self-employed borrowers are not riskier borrowers. They are harder to document with forms built for W-2 employees. The friction is usually predictable:
Write-offs reduce your documented income. The deductions that make your business efficient at tax time are the same ones that shrink the income figure a traditional underwriter sees.
Income varies month to month. Seasonal or project-based revenue does not fit neatly into a pay-stub calculation.
The paperwork is endless. Two years of returns, K-1s, P&Ls, business bank statements — then follow-up requests on all of it.
The timeline kills opportunities. By the time a conventional process finishes, the reason you needed the money has often passed.
How our process changes that
Instead of assembling a paper file, you securely link your accounts and we retrieve what we need directly — which removes most of the document chase.
Link, do not gather
No hunting for statements and returns. Connect your accounts and we take it from there.
Approval in as few as 5 minutes
Rather than weeks of back-and-forth with an underwriter.
Up to $750,000
A competitive fixed rate, with the option to redraw up to 100% as you pay down.
Close without losing a day
Online video notary in most locations, so closing does not cost you billable hours.
Ways self-employed homeowners put a HELOC to work
Because you draw only what you need and pay interest only on what you use, a line of credit tends to fit the rhythm of self-employment better than a lump-sum loan.
Smoothing uneven cash flow
Cover a slow season or a gap between invoices without reaching for a high-interest business card.
Consolidating expensive debt
Many owners carry card balances at rates well above what a secured line typically offers.
Funding growth on your terms
Equipment, inventory, a new hire — without giving up equity in your business.
Covering a tax bill
A quarterly or annual liability that lands at an inconvenient moment.
Eligible properties
Primary residences, secondary residences, and investment properties are all eligible — which matters if you hold real estate as part of your business.
Certain types of properties may not be eligible.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to provide two years of tax returns?
Our application is built around secure account linking rather than a manual document package, which removes much of the traditional paperwork burden. Documentation requirements ultimately depend on your individual file, and underwriting may request additional items to complete verification.
My write-offs make my income look low. Does that disqualify me?
Not automatically. Qualification considers your overall profile, including available equity, credit, and property type — not a single line on a tax return. The fastest way to find out where you stand is to check your rate, which has no credit impact.
How long do I need to have been self-employed?
Length of self-employment is one of several factors reviewed during underwriting. Because requirements vary by file, we recommend starting with a pre-qualification rather than assuming you do not qualify.
Can I use the funds for my business?
Yes. Funds drawn from a home equity line can be used for a wide range of purposes, including business needs. Keep in mind the line is secured by your home.
Will checking my rate affect my credit?
No. Pre-qualification does not affect your credit score. A hard credit inquiry may be required later during formal underwriting, and you will be informed before that occurs.
